In your Disney-planning research, there are so many wonderful tools and outlets of information available to audiences. With the recent rise in Podcast popularity, there has been no shortage in Disney-themed shows within easy reach. Here are 5 of my top recommendations for Disney-themed Podcasts you should be listening to in preparation for your next WDW trip. As a Disney parks fan, and as a Disney fan overall, these are 5 of my personal favorite shows to listen to when I need a little extra magic in my day!

1. WDW Radio

This podcast is at the top of its class when it comes to Disney Parks-themed content. Lou Mongello has been bringing audiences over 500 magical WDW Radio episodes for over 10 years, ranging from interviews with Disney Legends, to restaurant reviews, to Top Ten's (my personal favorite episodes), and so much more! Lou has so much passion when speaking about Disney World that it shines through each and every episode, making audiences worldwide share in that excitement with every listen. In short, this show is like walking "right down the middle of Main Street USA"--a charming, comforting, and overall magical listening experience!

2. The Dis Unplugged

This show, and all shows produced under the DisUnplugged network, is like the Netflix of Disney Parks information. The Dis Unplugged being my favorite of the bunch, this show gives audiences a weekly look at Disney news, sprinkled in with reviews of Disney events, Disney rumors, and Disney Park updates. What I love about this show is that you can tell the hosts truly are non-biased in their content. If there is something about a Disney Parks experience they loved, they will share it with you. If there was something they didn't love, they will share that too. They also have an incredible amount of knowledge about Disney Parks, and I thoroughly enjoy listening to the Dis team on the weekly!

3. Disney Magic Hour

This show is a little different, as they are not necessarily Disney Parks-specific show. They do of course discuss Disney Parks headline news, and do occasionally have shows discussing Park history and events, but Disney Magic Hour is a show primarily based around Disney films. With a host who has a vast knowledge and expertise in the film making industry, audiences are invited to listen to Disney movie reviews and even Disney-themed Competition Bracket Shows (my personal favorites being Disney Cuteness Bracket and Disney Ballad Bracket Tournament). This is a hilarious and unique show for audiences to enjoy!

4. Mouse Chat

Mouse Chat is one of the best resources for true Disney World (and the occasional Disneyland) planning. Hosted by a team of travel agents with Pixie Vacations, they provide fantastic insight on all aspects of Disney vacation planning. Episodes include tips on landing popular dining reservations, tips on getting the most out of your Dining Plan credits, tips on resort stays, tips on beating the crowds, just to name a few! This show is a must-have tool in your vacation planning kit. You cannot go wrong with the recommendations, insight, and insider info from the seasoned team of professionals over at Mouse Chat!

5. Unlocking the Magic Podcast

Unlocking the Magic is a unique Disney podcast, as the hosts are not travel agents or locals to Orlando. Bruce and Connie are simply a husband and wife who love travelling to Disney World with their family and wanted to create a show discussing it. And what I love about Unlocking the Magic is just that, the hosts. They are very honest and down-to-earth people who truly love the parks and want to share that with audiences. Episodes dedicated to "unlocking" Disney attractions (aka, discussing their history and hidden secrets) as well as Would You Rather-themed episodes make Unlocking the Magic such a fun listen and a must add to any Disney Parks fan's library!
